Senior Arts Fall 2026 Programs

Discover the unexpected beauty hidden within the pages of antique books. In this relaxing mixed-media workshop, you’ll transform vintage book pages into meaningful blackout poetry by finding words and phrases that speak to you. Then, you’ll incorporate your finished poem into a one-of-a-kind collage using curated papers, textures, and embellishments.

No writing or art experience is necessary. This class is about exploration, creativity, and enjoying the process. You’ll leave with a finished piece that blends literature and visual art into a personal keepsake worthy of framing.

All materials are provided, including antique book pages and specialty collage papers. Come enjoy a creative afternoon of reflection, conversation, and artistic discovery.

Great art captures the spirit of a place or a moment that you want to remember or share with others. In this four-week series we will focus on creating inspiring landscapes, but you are welcome to work on other subjects if you prefer.

All levels of experience are welcome and all materials will be provided. Everyone will work at their own pace as we develop the skills needed for painting landscapes, including dramatic skies, trees, buildings and foreground elements...and of course: inspiration!

If you have photographs of your favorite place, you are encouraged to bring them to the first class. We will create small studies of landscape elements, and an 8" x 10" painting. 

This class is designed for beginners with no previous experience. You will learn how to measure wire for the length you want, string beads in colors that appeal to you, secure the strand with a crimp tube and a jump ring, attach the bail and charm, then attach the ends to a clasp.

You will use a few tools that will be provided including wire cutters and pliers. We will also have available magnifying glasses with light for those who might need them. Bobbe will help guide you, and if needed step in so that you can have a finished product by the time you leave.

The atmosphere is relaxed, friendly, and we’ll have a break for tea and cookies!

Under the guidance of glass artist Deb Oliphant, you will learn how to cut glass and create an 8" diameter mosaic piece to place into a durable garden stake. This art piece can be left out all year! This art piece will be a fine addition to your garden or a beautiful gift!

Mary Ann Kudary brings a bounty of fresh flowers and greens, along with a lifetime of experience in floral arranging. She will guide you in the best practices for preparing and arranging botanicals in autumn colors. You'll leave with a gorgeous arrangement for your Thanksgiving table or an impressive hostess gift!

Let's make some fun charms & holiday ornaments in a variety of sizes and methods. Choose from a wide variety of molds and metal forms, plus additives like dried flowers, vintage papers, inks, and mica powders.
